High-rises and complex designs multiply the installation challenges. How feasible is it to design and build open & connected buildings?

Sustainable skyscrapers, high-rises that offer residents sky lobbies and open patios, sky bridges to other buildings and transportation systems, and green infrastructures, are becoming increasingly popular. But in this context, the conventional “top to bottom” drainage systems are not a feasible option, since open lobbies or architecturally wide designs require the piping systems to be re-routed with significant performance loss. This necessitates specifically-engineered solutions that can meet the complex hydraulic and acoustic performance requirements of high-rises.
